Intern - Visitor Experience Program
Location: Golden CO
Salary: $10.00 - $12.00 p/hr

Description: (This a part-time year-round position, requiring a commitment of an average of 40-60 hours per month) Assists the Planning and Development section of Jefferson County Open Space in administering the Vistor Experience Program. Responsible for the collection and compilation of survey data and visit count information to develop and implement effective and proactive management approaches for the parks' resources and its visitors' experiences. Information is used for assessing visitor use trends, making park management decisions, and establishing park carrying capacities. Requirements: - Ability to conduct survey collection in an unbiased manner. - Ability to understand, operate and read programmable electronic devices (e.g. visitor counters. - Ability to troubleshoot basic technical problems in programmable electronic - Ability to record data in a legible manner. - Ability to work outdoors, lift approximately five pounds - Possess a Colorado drivers license with no more that three voilations, no major violations and no suspension for moving violations in the past three years. - Knowledge and skills in MicroSoft based applications ** Email resume to ypaiz@jeffco.us or call Yvonne Paiz - Recruitment Advisor @303.271.8433 for add'l details or questions.
The Rocky Mountain Land Use Institute

RMLUI is a non-partisan educational institution with a mission to provide a forum for dialogue and research on critical land use and environmental issues in the Rocky Mountain West. We are seeking a student intern to work with us in preparing the Town of Fowler Comprehensive Land Use Plan. Primary duties include research, background report preparation, policy drafting and proof reading. Excellent analytical and writing skills are essential. Sustainable community development principles will guide the development of this plan.
This is a full time temporary position beginning late June and ending in late August. Salary is $12-18 per hour depending on experience and skill level. Work will be done primarily at the institute’s offices in the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver.
Interested parties should submit a resume and at least two complete or excerpted writing samples (not to exceed 10 pages, double spaced, in total length) directly to James van Hemert at jvanhemert@law.du.edu by close of business (4:30 pm) on Friday, March 14th. Interviews will be held the week of March 17th.
