Tri-County Health Department seeks two Community Putting Prevention to Work (ARRA stimulus grant) Built Environment Policy Coordinators to coordinate efforts to affect policy, systems & environmental change promoting healthy eating and active living. Works with counties, cities, towns and special districts to integrate healthy eating and active living policies, regulations and guidelines into long-range planning and code revision efforts. This is a Communities Putting Prevention to Work (CPPW) grant funded position with funding guaranteed until March 2012. Requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in planning, environmental or public health, public policy, or a related field. Minimum three years of experience working with local governments on planning, policy development, systems or environmental changes. A Master’s degree in Public Health and Planning, urban planning, public policy or related field would count as 1 year experience. Must have own vehicle for on-the-job travel; mileage reimbursement provided. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
