City of Durango is accepting applications for a Planner I position, in the Planning and Community Development department to perform a variety of general and specialized professional planning functions, including current and long range planning; to receive and issue sign permits; to review and provide recommendations on site plans and building permits; to conduct planning studies, analyze data, and prepare reports on current and long ¬range projects; to coordinate and manage all activities related to assigned projects; and to provide information and assistance to developers, property owners, the business community and the public on planning and development related matters requiring responses to walk-in inquiries and issues. 1-2 yrs of professional experience in urban planning is preferred. Requires Bachelors degree in Planning or related field. $46,321.60 annually, plus excellent benefits. Background check required.
