The Planning Manager supervises and participates in advanced, highly-complex professional planning activities including the processing of development proposals and supervision of staff. The Planning Manager supervises the current planning division within the Planning Department. The Planning Manager may function as a deputy for the Planning Director or even serve as Acting Director.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills are required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven skills in team building, conflict resolution and a focus on excellent customer service.

Requires Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Urban or Regional Planning, or related field and six or more years of progressively responsible experience. AICP preferred.
