The symposium program is especially designed for local elected officials, city and county managers, planners, finance officers, attorneys, oil and gas specialists and those who work with or regulate the energy industry on behalf of local governments. As local government officials, we all know oil and gas development is an important part of Colorado's economy. Garfield County and The Unconventional Energy Center at Colorado Mesa University present this symposium to enhance your knowledge of issues common to local governments navigating oil and gas extraction. This learning event will provide opportunity for open dialog with your peers about managing financial, social, environmental, legal and land use planning issues surrounding oil and gas operations.
