Bicycle, Pedestrian & Transit Assessment Training

In partnership with the NoCo Bike and Ped Collaborative, the City of Loveland Public Works Department is hosting a Bicycle, Pedestrian & Transit Assessment Training workshop
Wednesday, June 14, 2017
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Loveland Public Library
6 AICP CMs Pending
Registration Deadline:  June 9th 12:00 p.m.
The morning session will start with Kyle Wagenschutz from PeopleForBikes, who will set the stage for the day by discussing the broad community values and benefits of a multi modal transportation system.  Next, the Larimer County Built Environment team will present MapNoCo, an online infrastructure assessment tool tailored for Northern Colorado.  This will be followed by Kayla Gilbert from the City of Denver Environmental Health who will discuss how to do community engagement and outreach with assessment tools.  After a networking lunch, participants will break into mode-based groups to complete either a pedestrian assessment, a bicycling assessment or a transit assessment in Loveland.  Attendees will be required to pre-select their mode type.  All mode groups will then rendezvous back at the Library to share results and consider next steps in their community.  Attendees will be outside walking, riding or bussing in the afternoon so come prepared for summer weather.  The event will take place rain or shine.
Attendance is limited to 35 persons. When you register, you will be required to choose between biking, walking or tranit. Free passes will be provided for those that chose the Transit option. The bike option is limited to 15 participants. Bikes will be provided for those 15; however you will need to provide your own helment. You may NOT bring your own bike. Please note that the bike route will include all types of infrastructure – rec trail/off-street, local street and on-street collectors and arterials. (Printable Flyer)
