Sustainable Communities Leadership Academy:
Innovations in Building Resilient Communities

Start Your Application Today
Extended Application Deadline: Monday, May 8

There's still time to apply for ISC's Sustainable Communities Leadership Academy, Innovations in Building Resilient Communities, an intensive and customized three-day workshop that will help you explore innovative approaches to building effective and inclusive community resilience.

Local leaders across the U.S. are recognizing the growing importance of community resilience as our country faces economic change, more frequent and intense weather events and long-standing institutionalized social inequality. The strongest communities are those whose social, economic and environmental agendas respond to the needs of all residents and are collectively imagined across institutions. That’s community resilience.

Join us in June to find solutions to your resilience challenges and gain an increased understanding of how regional planning, cross-sector collaboration and inclusive community engagement can maximize your impact on both policy development and implementation.

You will leave this workshop with:

  • Practical knowledge and tools to address your team's critical implementation challenge to resilience strategies.
  • An action plan to guide your resilience work upon returning home.
  • Valuable new relationships and ongoing access to peers and experts in community-driven leadership, regional collaboration and resilience.
  • Deepened connections and collective planning within your cross-sector team.
  • Access to ISC’s large and growing national network of sustainability and resilience practitioners, including access to innovative resources on best practices.
